Master harrows are suitable for all types of soil and are available in working widths of 5-10 meters. The sturdy 11x45mm S-tine vibrates strongly and has optimal geometry to ensure efficient cultivation in fewer cultivation passes. Master harrows have a massive and sturdy steel tubular bar frame, which ensures that the structures are durable and that there is sufficient weight on the tines. Master harrows are well-equipped as standard, but a wide range of accessories allow you to increase cultivating effect or adjust the harrow to the conditions in a particular area. Master harrows are known for their durability and have gained a good reputation among farmers.
Master’s 5-8m s-tine harrows have a 3.30 metre-long frame and 8 tine axles. The tines are distributed evenly across the harrow frame and cover a wide surface area. Thanks to the even and open tine spacing, the 8cm interval between tines allows good pass through of plant residues for successful cultivation even in fields with lots of straw. The harrow has a sturdy and durable structure.
Master harrows are an excellent choice for preparing seedbeds in clay soil. The Master harrow’s tine is sturdy and its geometry means it retains its working depth excellently. The tine also pulverises the soil effectively. The load-bearing wheels keep the frame at the same precise height and prevent the field from becoming too compacted. The wide range of additional accessories means that you can increase the harrow’s soil cultivation and levelling effect.
Master harrows are also suitable for use in lighter soil, even if there is lots of crop residue in the field. The load-bearing wheels carry the harrow at a constant height while the open tine distribution enables the harrow to function without becoming clogged. Extensive adjustments that can be made to both the harrow and the accessories help to prevent clogging and ensure an optimal result. For fields with lots of crop residue, we recommend a two-row following harrow.
Master s-tine harrows have a 3.30 metre long frame which guarantees good levelling properties in all conditions. The long frame means that the harrow moves soil along with it to level the surface of the field for optimal cultivation conditions. The harrow can also be equipped with two crossboards for extremely high levelling power. With two crossboards, a Master harrow can handle light surface harrowing on ploughed fields to ensure even drying and to prevent excess evaporation.
The harrow’s innovative working depth adjustment, load-bearing wheels, and tine properties result in an extremely level cultivation bottom.
The Potila s-tine’s geometry means that the tine retains its cultivation depth even in the harshest conditions. Thanks to its geometry and cross-sectional profile, the 11x45 tine also vibrates extremely effectively to achieve a high pulverising capacity. The Master harrow’s frame provides sufficient tine weight to make use of the tine’s properties. The cultivation power of the 11x45 s-tine guarantees quick and even sprouting or sprout emergence.
Master spring tine harrows are equipped with load-bearing 250/65-14.5 wheels. The wheels have a width of 250 millimetres and a diameter of 675 millimetres so that the harrow can function in all conditions and in different types of soil without any changes to its working depth. All bogie beams and wheel hubs have conic roller bearings to provide a long service life for the harrow.
The front spring crossboard cultivates, pulverises and levels the surface of the field. Combined with the weight of the harrow, the strong 10 x 80 spring and shaped points make it possible to level the surface of the field and to pulverise clods. If necessary, the front crossboard can also be equipped with a stabilizer bar, which will make the front crossboard act more like a beam.
Wider models offer the same properties as the Master range of products, but they also add something completely new. Master 900-1000 models are equipped with the familiar 11x45 S-tines and the frame is as sturdy as in other Master products. Working depth is adjusted using memory cylinders, as with other Potila products. However, new features include a different wheel structure in the middle section – the bogie structure has been replaced with large, individual wheels.
The large, 480-45/17 wheels offer a large load-bearing surface area, which means the harrow moves lightly over the surface of the field. Sinking is minimal due to the large wheels, and the wide ground contacting area makes the harrow very stable, even on ploughed soil. When driving on the road, the large individual wheels stabilise the motion and the harrow is very easy to tow. The design of all Master harrows has also sufficient drawbar weight.
All of Potila’s 800-1000 models are available with powerful brakes, which increase safety and make the machine compliant with legislation in all conditions. The brakes are known as combi-brakes, which means that they can be controlled with pressurised air or with hydraulics, depending on the tractor pulling the harrow. In all models, brakes are installed on individual wheels, so even the 800 models are delivered with an 480-45/17 individual wheel structure if you choose brakes as an additional accessory.
A cage roller is best in conditions where you need high pulverising power and there is lots of crop residue in the field. The cage roller’s small diameter means it has great pulverising power. Extensive weight and height adjustments mean that performance is always optimal and, if necessary, it is possible to harrow with the cage roller lifted.
A rear crossboard is at its best in aggressively cultivated soil where there isn’t much crop residue. The rear crossboard has high pulverising capacity, and it also effectively levels the surface of the field. In ploughed fields, the double crossboard technology achieves an extremely level and pulverised seedbed.
A 2-row rear harrow is a following harrow with extremely high penetration ability, which ensures that the harrow functions well even when there is a lot of crop mass. The harrow can be extensively adjusted for any and all conditions.
The 1-row rear harrow sorts soil particles optimally to ensure sprout growth and silting. The wide range of angle adjustments, curved harrow tines, and stepless height adjustment mean that the harrow has good penetration in fields where primary tillage was carried out in the autumn.
The rear crossboard-cage roller combination offers unbelievable pulverising and levelling power, particularly in heavy clay soils. The two effective pulverising accessories also make it possible to achieve sufficient seedbed preparation in clay soil with just one run. Its high pulverising capacity also makes the equipment excellent for seedbed preparation before winter crops
The equipment offers great penetration and pulverising properties even when working with lots of straw; i.e., in conditions where primary tillage was not carried out until spring, just before seedbed preparation. A wide range of adjustments means that the harrow can always be used at maximum without worrying about clogging.
